McCARTHY- Donna Christine “Chris” (nee Atkins) March 19, 1930 – March 13, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Vincent Charles (1972). “ Chris” was born, raised and educated in St. Thomas, Ontario and was a long-time resident of Walkerville Ontario and will be sadly and forever missed and loved by her devoted daughter Mary and her husband John Goz, who were by her side each and every day of her long journey home Also survived by her son Mark and predeceased by her son Michael (2003) (Sandee). Very proud Nana of Kelly Shepherd (Brett), Matthew Kubinec (Kristyn) Amy Kubinec and Amanda McCarthy. Beloved Gigi to Chloe, Addison and Atlas. Big sister to Jon Atkins (Carol). Cherished Aunt to Brian and Brendan Atkins and great-aunt to Laura-Lynn, Noah and Mailynn. Trusted and devoted friend of Donald Denomme. Chris was an avid crossword enthusiast, an accomplished pianist and enjoyed her gardening. Friends may call at the Walter D. Kelly life Celebration Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St. E., on Saturday March 16, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Rev. David Colvin officiating. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society .
