Mr. Bartnik was my Grade 8 teacher at St. Anthony's elementary school in Tecumseh. I remember that he was kind and he encouraged me to pursue my learning interests beyond the classroom curriculum. I was sorry to hear of his passing. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

I’m so sorry to hear of Mr. Bartnik’s passing. My condolences to his family. I was lucky to have had him as my teacher at St. Antoine and later my son’s teacher at St.Peter. I have many memories of him. Such a calm, kind, gentle man.

I am sad to hear of Ed's passing. He was an awesome teacher at St. Anne's Junior High School. He made History come alive and always had a great sense of humour! He taught with my brother Marcel who we also lost to cancer. My condolences to your family and continued thoughts as you grieve this time. I worked briefly with Ed at St. Peter years after I had him as a teacher. He continued to be an awesome role model and friend to so many!

Dear Nicole and Family,
I am deeply sorry to learn of your great loss. Ed was a true gentle man, always soft spoken with a kind word, warm heart and dry sense of humour. He was a trusted colleague and devoted husband, father and son, always speaking with such pride about his family. I have fond memories of Ed during our time together at St. Peter School and am happy to know he got to experience the joy of being a grandpa during his retirement. May you all feel God’s embrace and be comforted by your many loving and treasured memories...... With sincere and heartfelt condolences, Cathy Prekupec

My heartfelt condolences to Nicole, Emilie and family. Ed was a smiling, friendly man who never hesitated to help me. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations we had whenever I would run into him while he was at Emilie’s house or walking the dogs. Rest In Peace my friend.

my tributes to ED BARTNIKS life. ED was almost like a blood cousin to me through marriage of his dad to CECYLIA after his MOM died. ED was a COOL, NOBLE and SUPER HUMAN BEING TO ME. he was a school teacher that earned the admiration and respect of his students. ED was my sponsor at my ROMAN CATHOLIC SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION. i remember the DATSUN car he had. he took me for rides in it to have a fun time. he loved basketball. every saturday morning he would pick me up to take me to the basketball scrimmage games at his school to have me play in. he was like a BIG BROTHER TO ME. his death saddens me. ETERNAL REST GRANT UNTO HIM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM. MAY HE REST IN PEACE. EDWARD BUSKO
