I was incredibly saddened to have just heard of Betty's passing. My deepest condolences to the entire family during this difficult time. Betty was such a wonderful lady! Such a kind, loving, positive, and generous women! I looked forward to seeing her each and every day. Her always smiling! She sure always put a smile on my face! I will surely miss you Betty. Was such a wonderful blessing to have met you and some of your family, to have had the opportunity to spend so much time with you, every day, the laughs, and the company. I'll forever treasure that.

What a strong, modern woman she was! Spoke her mind, shared laughter and always producing something out of love. Such a lovely lady. May the family smile and laugh over the fond and fun memories you share with her. Be at peace. She lived a beautiful life and always left the room with joy.

We will miss Tante Bep so much. We have so many wonderful memories of being at the family home in Bomanville. I would get in trouble for not lighting a match when I used the upstairs bathroom, that still makes me smile. Our best visit was when Tante Bep and Oom Jaap put a brand new puppy right in the middle of their Christmas tree! We were blessed with this new puppy Snoopy that we had with us while we grew up! I will miss seeing Tante Bep at thanksgiving and making her smile when I told her every year she was my favourite Aunt and she was because she was another version of my Mom. I will hold her dearly in my heart forever, she defined family and what an Aunt means ❤️. My Mom already misses her sister more than words can say. They talked every week on the phone and had so many stories to share with each other. We will all miss Tante Bep so much. She was a kind sweet person that will leave a hole in our hearts but we will hold memories of her very dear to us always. May be in peace. Love the Flynn and Holtslag families ❤️

Betty started knitting hats for my kindergarten students up in Churchill MB, many years ago. She is a legend around here, as those hats are still seen on the heads of many older students! They love them! She also made hats for our babies at the hospital and we sent some extras up to Nunavut, as well. I will miss our chats during quilting days, when I dropped into town for visits with my mom, Nina. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
