I must have been about 3 and we had a wooden porch before we had the cement porch installed. The wooden porch was grey and you could see underneath it. On a Sunday when Mom had us ready and outside to walk to Saint Theresa Church for Mass, I noticed a white, fluffy cat under the porch digging a hole! I was so excited and I told Mom the cat was digging a nest to lay her eggs. Mom said, "I don't think so". A very vivid memory about those Cat Eggs.

Dear Ken and family , so sorry to hear about the passing of Beth. I have nothing but fond memories of Beth when we both worked at Kendan. Beth always went above and beyond to help any of us when we had a problem with our benefits or a payroll question. She truly was a very classy lady. Wishing you all happy memories to carry you in the days ahead. Darcy Walls

Mom hated snakes! But we kids loved garter snakes and they were plentiful some seasons. One summer we had collected 17 snakes in a small plastic pool in the backyard and were thrilled when Mom freaked out when she was putting clothes on the line. So we took one of the larger garter snakes and put in the mailbox after the postman had delivered the mail... and we lay in wait! It wasn't long before Mom poked her head out of the door, thrust her hand down deep into the mailbox to retrieve the mail... and the snake. I can still see the look of horror on her face. The screaming... and the hoots of laughter from all of us at our successful prank! So many wonderful memories. :)
