Mrs. Elizabeth Slater

On the 9th of January, 2011 Elizabeth Slater passed peacefully on to heaven in the loving home of her granddaughter surrounded by family and friends. Cherished mother of Ann, Laura and Charlene (deceased), and wife of Tom (deceased). Adored by her grandchildren and great grandchildren Lisa (Barb), Sue (Terry), Mike (Marie), Cameron, Stewart, and Daniel. Tender, loving care was administered by her surrogate grandson Keith in her final days at home. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews whose lives she touched over the years. Remembered and revered by her many friends and colleagues including those from (Vanda) Beauty Counsellor, Zonta International, The Salvation Army, and the Windsor Court House. Elizabeth’s contributions and accomplishments over the past decades were substantial and will be highlighted in Elizabeth’s tribute on Wednesday, January 12th 2011. The visitation and funeral for Elizabeth will take place at 10:00am and 11:00am respectively on Wednesday, January 12th at The South Windsor Citadel, 1201 Grand Maris Road West, Windsor, Ontario, N9E 1C8. In lieu of flowers, Elizabeth has asked that donations be forwarded to The South Windsor Citadel or The Windsor Community and Rehabilitation Centre 355 Church Street, Windsor, Ontario, N9A 7G9. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home (519-252-5711). Elizabeth’s amazing presence and her capacity for unconditional love will be cherished and remembered always.
