OBITUARY

Ernest Peter Andrykew

June 22, 1935June 15, 2020

Passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2020 at the age of 84. Loving husband of Patricia for 53 years. Beloved father of Sue, Lizz (Tim), Catherine (Paul) and Mark. Cherished grandfather of Rhys, Michael and Monique. Family member of New Beginnings Community Church. He was a friend who always had what you needed and was always willing to share it, and his knowledge, with you. Behind his rough exterior was a giant heart. After his career as an auto body repairman ended, Ernie and Pat travelled the open road from coast to coast to coast. Now he is off fishing in heaven. Memorial service planned for a later date.

Ah, such a beautiful explanation of who Ernie was to people. Will never forget the jewelry box trick and his chuckle. Reminded me a lot of my dad - his gentleness.

Dear Pat and family,
My sincere condolences. It's been a blessing knowing Ernie for 30 years. I'll always remember his grin when he was making a joking comment. But I envision him and my Ernie at home insulting each other in heaven. 😉 I'll miss him. Praying for your family.
Love Josette LaBute

I will never forget Ernie.
He would always share his humour

And I remember him telling me about his bread making.
Now he is in heaven, having heavenly bread

He will never be forgotten ~ so kind and helpful

When Nick and I brought our girls back to live in my family home, Ernie and Pat knew we were going to need some help. He scoured ship yards and utility companies and anywhere else he thought there would be wood for the wood stove and loaded up his duelly. They brought us all we could use and more. I wanted a garden and out he came with the rototiller and stories of his mothers gardens. If you asked him or he got wind that you were in need he had a network of resources to get it for you. Nick and I love you Uncle Ernie and Send love and hugs to your family.
