Passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021 at the age of 98.

Loving wife of the late George Mady (1969). Cherished mother of Charles (Nancy) Mady, and Donna (Daniel) Petoran. Proud Cissy of Ashleigh Petoran (Corey Budrewicz), Daniel Petoran Jr. (Grace Kim), Alexis (Bill) Hosie, and Charles (Ellen) Mady. Great-Cissy of Francesca, Wellesley, William, Pierson, Olivia, Gabriella and Victoria. Dear sister of Eva Shamess, Jean (Wesley) Hart, Stella (John) Karrip, and Joseph (Lenna) Shamess. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Geneva was the perfect mother; caring, understanding, and genuinely full of love. She was a lifetime volunteer, avid golfer, bridge player and sports fan (Go Tigers) and had a love of Dachshunds. She will remain in our hearts forever.

A private memorial service will be held in her honour.

I have many good memories of my friend and times we shared playing bridge or enjoying a cup of tea together. Our trip to Spain provided us with happy memories to reflect back on and some good laughs. I will miss you and hold your memories close.

Dear Donna and Dan,

Please accept our condolences on the passing of your mother, Geneva Mady, a most active and delightful lady whom I met one time in your now residence and I am sure at your memorable wedding ceremony, as well.
I remember that she was a beautiful lady, like her daughter, and that Dan had great, cheerful rapport with her, like he did with everyone, especially beautiful ladies like her, and her daughter.
Makye met you both only one time, when we ran into each other shopping, some years ago, when she had first moved to Canada.
We share in your sorrow, and know that you will come resiliently through it - as she would have done.
It was so good of you both to visit my brother, Thomas, for a final farewell, one year ago this very month.
