George Murray Swaddling

Passed away peacefully on December 19, 2019 at the age of 73. George is survived by his loving wife Valerie and father George Sr., brother Ron and niece Shannon. Dear father to Stephen and Robert (Catherine) and step-father to David and Tim Gross. Loving grandfather to Tyler, Stella and Beatrice. Born and raised in the Salvation Army and parents being Salvation Army Officers, George became Bandmaster of the North Toronto Corps at the age of 20 and was also a founding member of the newly formed Canadian Staff Band of the Salvation Army in 1969. George later attended Wilfred Laurier University and subsequently became a Police Officer with the Metro Toronto Police Service in August of 1973 to February 1988. He then moved to Windsor with his family and started his own Paralegal Service which lasted over 31 years. Visitation will be held at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St. E (519-252-5711) on December 21, 2019 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Visitation will continue on December 22 from 12pm until the time of Service in the Chapel at 1pm. Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.

Thinking of you at this time. My sister Susan and I enjoyed our pizza and visits with you and George around his birthday time when we were able to get together. Sorry I have learned of George's passing after the fact as I certainly would have attended the service.
