Henri Joesph Jamotte

Peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Extendicare Tecumseh at the age of 92 years. Partner of 20 years to the late Sally Bourdreau (2004) Predeceased by his parents Henri & Alysse (nee Leroy) and his sisters Denise Seinlet and Clairette Gielen, all of Belgium.Loving father to Mike & Lyn Jamotte, Dan Jamotte & Ginette Hoyland, Rick & Sue Jamotte. Cherished grandfather to Monique Jamotte, Michelle Jamotte, Melissa Heron and Katie Jamotte. Great grandfather to Quinten & Parker Folster and Emily Heron. For years, Henri was a shoemaker on Tecumseh Rd. East (Henry’s Shoe Repair) He served during WWII with the 1st Regiment, 9th Company in the Belgian Army and was a Prisoner of War for 5 years during that time. Henri enjoyed playing bridge, shooting pool with his sons and watching sports. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Extendicare Tecumseh. As per Henri's request, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St. East on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 3 p.m. until the Memorial Service to celebrate Henri’s life at 5 p.m. If desired, memorial donations made to the Seniors Centre of Windsor would be appreciated by the family.
