

55 years. Born in WIndsor, Ontario on May 21, 1966 to his loving parents Howard and Jacqueline Harris. Howard was better known by his family and friends as "Howie". Howie spent his life as a Canadian and American, moving with his parents from Windsor, Ontario to Detroit, Michigan and then to Amherstburg, Ontario.
As an adult Howie returned to Windsor. Howie was a product of the General Amherst High School system.
Howie became an employee of Manor Tool and Die, where he worked for around 30 years as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker. Howie travelled to various countries as his job required, such as Mexico, where Howie spent a quite a bit of time working.
Howie enjoyed sports and took part in High School as a football player. As a young man, Howie and his buddies would play road hockey, basketball and football. Howie was a fan of the New York Yankees and the Pittsburg Steelers. He enjoyed tailgating with his friends at the Pontiac Silverdome. He also spent pleasurable moments playing golf with his father and friends. Howie was friend to many; family, co-workers and just an all-round friend to all that came to know him.
On March 5, 2022 Howie suddenly passed away. Howie leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Jacqueline Harris, Howard Harris Jr. and stepmother, Arlene Harris; brother Jonathan Harris and sister, Kathryn Lafleur (Kenneth); niece, Olivia and nephew, Kenneth Jr.; aunts and uncles, Leona Woods, Frank Dumas (predeceased), Robert Dumas (predeceased), Sandra Nivens, Jerome Dumas, Gussie Dumas (predeceased), Brenda Johnson, Jane Adams (Erick Sr.), and Susan Gooch; goddaughter, Kyla Mcleod; childhood buddies, Craig, Blair, Rob and Jerry Harris, Howie's American buddy and a host of relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor, ON (519-254-3223) on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to the time of the service to Celebrate the Life of Howie at 1:00 p.m. Personal face coverings are required to attend visitation and services.
