I am going to miss this old guy! He was a customer at my beer store every once in a while and we would talk all the time! Jim called me "Boblo" because he found out during one of our conversations that I worked there and the smile on his face I will never foget. We laughed a lot..thank you Jim💛

Jim was such a fantastic person and will truly be missed. He would always come by just to chat and drop off  NFL memorabilia or newspaper clippings.

Jimmy was the best kind of person there was. He had a kind word for every soul he met up with along his way. When I met Jimmy I knew instantly I would love him. He was the brightest spot of every day that I saw him.

My Condolences to James (Jimmy’s) Family. I remember seeing Jimmy at the Mac’s Milk and at the McDonald’s and Tim Hortons. Always smiling so happy . Always will remember him and never forget. May he rest in peace!

If I wear to describe Jim, it would a grandfather. I work at a pizzeria and Jim is our regular and I’ve known him since I’ve worked for 4 years. Everyday it was a blast talking to him and he would always make my day he was like a grandfather figure to me since I don’t have one. After hearing the news, I can’t tell you how much it saddens me to know he’s gone. Every Monday he would always be waiting for me to come to work and now there’s no one waiting at the bench for me. I remember  how he wanted to go to a Diana rose concert to see if she could still sing, that was funny. He was a loving person and always asked about my family. If I could see Jim again I would give him a hug! I’ll always miss him calling me by the name he gave me.  I wish someone would upload a picture of him so it would be kept as a memory.

Jim  was a good friend, generous to a faulthe always gave me sports memorabalia. I will miss him. We had coffee together for years..

Jimmy where do I even start. I am convinced you are the best person I've ever met. You were always willing to learn how "the young people did things". We had such great conversations at all hours of the morning. Your laugh was infectious. I've never felt such a jugdment free love like this before. Thank you for always supporting me and my crochet ventures. You didn't just come by the gas station you played such a major part in my life. The way youve touched the community will be told for generations to come. Well never let them forget about you.

I remember Jimmy from early morning arrivals at Tim Hortons near the Chrysler plant. Always cheerful, always offering to buy you a coffee or toasted bagel, generous, easy-going, a hearty laugh. He was stubborn as hell when you offered to buy him a coffee, and he would never accept it, but that was OK. We chatted about the Detroit Tigers and his memories of Windsor’s Reno Bertoia playing in Detroit in the 1950s. I miss him in the mornings and his laughter and all the good cheer he brought.

WE WERE SADDENED TO HEAR OF JIMMY'S PASSING.IT WAS ALWAYS NICE TO SEE HIM AT MCDONALD'S. TO SPEAK WITH HIM ON THE PHONE HE WAS ALWAYS PLEASANT AND CARING.

I first met jimmy while delivering the Windsor star to his house back in the early 90’s. I worked my first job with jimmy at beckers.  He was genuinely a great person . He would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it . He was a local and michigan sports encyclopedia .
He is part of Turner road history forever! 
Rest easy my friend ! Next time I see you , I’ll be telling you all about a tigers World Series ! 

Always loved seeing Jimmy walking down Turner road, growing up. He always had a smile on his face and would stop to chat. So friendly and so kind. 

One of a kind Jim! I cherish Turner Rd memories and going to the store to see you.

I will miss my very wise and kind friend Jimmy. So selfless with a wonderful sense of humor.  30 years of knowing him was a blessing and I will miss our laughter and conversations.
God Bless my friend and I'll see you again one day.
