It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jan on September 29, at the age 65 at home peacefully in Windsor, Ontario. Born in Fort,Erie, Ontario on June 26, 1956 to parents Myrtle and John Halverson. Loving wife of the late Douglas Eade. Jan leaves her sisters Cindy Olsen (John), Nancy Halverson (Jamie), and brothers Bill Biggins (Lisa), and Charlie Biggins. Predeceased by sisters Sharon Lea (Jerry), Theresa Robins (Jimmy), and brother Maurice Biggins. Beloved nana to Jennifer, Landen and Adam, and will be dearly missed by Dale Athoe (Gary), and a large extended family and friends.
Jan was a retired letter carrier with Canada Post for over 30 years. She was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 71, and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Cremation has taken place.
A Graveside Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sodom Rd., Stevensville, Ontario on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at Bridgewater Country Club, 700 Gilmore Rd, Fort Erie, ON L2A 5M4 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. For those attending at Bridgewater, proof of vaccination will be required but those that are not double vaccinated are welcome to come and sit on the patio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor-Essex County, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Stevensville, ON or Trinity Lutheran Church, Windsor, ON.
