Jean M. Lancaster

Passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Erie Shores in Leamington on September 28, 2017 in her 93rd year. Late of Season’s Amherstburg. Loving and devoted wife of the late Roy G. Lancaster. Dear mother of Ian (Jane Wheeler) of Coburg, Bruce (Diane) of Windsor, Jane Wiley (Bill) of Amherstburg and Megan Bednarick (Neil) of Windsor. Loving Gram of Melissa Blanchette (Ken), B.J. Wiley (Debbie), Currie and Adam Bednarick, and Edward Lancaster. Proud Great-Gram of Emma and Eric Blanchette and Holden and Carter Wiley. Predeceased by her parents, Mary and George Postill and brother Frank (Jean) Postill. Loving Aunt of Brian (Jennifer) Postill of Windsor and Elizabeth (Rob) Michaels of Burlington. Survived by her sister-in-law Grace (the late Eric) Lancaster and many nieces and nephews. Jean was a life member of the May Court Club of Windsor, the Art Gallery of Windsor and the Windsor Symphony. Visitation will take place at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte ST. E. 519-252-5711) on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Windsor Downtown Mission.
