Jeffrey Wayne Boakes passed away peacefully April 7th after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Jeff was born Dec. 23, 1961 and lived a full and eventful 51 years. He was predeceased by his parents Chris and Dorothy Boakes and will be greatly missed by his sister Bonnie Philbin & her husband Chris, and his brother Chris Boakes & his wife Bonnie. As well as his extended siblings Rick & Jenn Gorchinsky and Guy & Steph St. Pierre, and his entire Belle River family. Jeff was also an inspirational uncle to Matt, Jeremy, Jenn, Megan, and Mary who will continue to keep his legacy alive. Jeff had an irresistible charm and was loved by all who knew him. His positive attitude and fighting spirit made his battle with cancer look easy. There will be a simple send off in his honor on Thursday, April 11th, 2013 from 1pm to 4pm at Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 1969 Wyandotte Street East Windsor. Donations to The Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
