

Peacefully surrounded by his family at Bluewater Health, Sarnia ON on Sunday February 10, 2013, Jack Mitchell passed away in his 82nd. year. Beloved father of Carl (Susan), Paul, Lori and Cheri and their mother Betty Dee Black; Shawn Mitchell and Shelli (Neil) Cormier and their mother Ruth Mitchell. Remembered by Eleanor Mitchell and Marguerite Quinton and his beloved cat Sadie. Cherished grandfather to Chris (Jill), Carl (Leslie), Byron, Simon, Travis, Curtis, Adam (David), Amber, Kayla Cormier, Matthew Mitchell and Terri-Lee Natywary. Beloved great grandfather "Papa Jack" to Bowen, Cameron, Isabelle and Addison. Predeceased by his parents Morris Mitchell and Ellen (Rice) Points; brother Bob and beloved daughter Jacqueline Mitchell. Jack was born in Wyoming ON and lovingly raised by Uncle Ab and Aunt Sadie Griffin. Jack began his working life in ticket sales at CNR and then followed his entrepreneurial spirit as owner/operator of Easy Movers in Point Edward ON and "The Anchorage" in Grand Bend and then went on to dairy distribution and the scrap metal business in Windsor ON. He was also well-known in the Point Edward and Sarnia area for his sports sponsorships. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 19th at 12 noon at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 261 Christina Street, Sarnia ON, with Rev. Lloyd Murdock officiating. A time of fellowship to follow.
