Just found out about your mother, Janet.  My heartfelt condolences.  It doesn't matter how long parents have been with us, it still hurts to lose them.  
My vivid memory of your mother was as a Brownie in her troop, selling cookies door-to-door on one very wet day.  Do you recall that day?  At the end of that sales period, your mother had us all at your place for treats and while we were playing, put all of our uniforms in the dryer.  It was heaven putting on that dry, warm uniform.  (We didn't have a dryer then, so I think that could be why it made such an impression.)

The Jack and Marie Hinnegan family from 36 Tecumseh Rd., Chatham (where J.J. lived until he was 95 in 2008) extends our sympathy to your family on the loss of your mother.  I remember having fun doing the "Barbie" doll collection with Janet, climbing the cherry tree in your back yard, swinging on Archibald's swing set and riding bikes to swimming lessons at Jaycee Park and all over the neighborhood.  When I see retro turquoise living room couches with the curly nylon upholstery, I envision your living room around 1959 or 1960 and your mom vacuuming the floors before Don came home.  Your mom was a great assistant volunteer when she helped with the Brownie Troupe at Winston Churchill School.  
I just learned about your mother's passing now, December 14, 2017 and just wanted to send our thoughts to your family.
