Reunited with her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert F. “Bob” Kiborn, Q.C. (2015). Loving mother of Peter (Carol 1998), Kitty Kiborn-Klaskow (David 2017), and Robert (Nicole). Devoted grandmother to Caroline Davis Kiborn, Anna Catherine Zapor, and Edward Robert Zapor (2003). Caring aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Born in Toronto to the late Peter (1985) and Catherine (nee Winel 1949) Burger, Lee attended St. Joseph’s College School and University of Toronto (Dental Nursing 1948). Married in 1950, Lee and Bob relocated to Windsor the next year where they lived out their lives to the fullest.
Lee was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and extremely active in community service. She was a long time, dedicated member of IODE, Maycourt Club, Windsor Symphony Guild, and Questers. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and is a past president of the OLOG Catholic Women’s League. Among her many interests were bridge, golf, gardening, and curling at the Windsor Curling Club and Beach Grove. Above all, Lee’s first priority was always her family.
If so desired, donations in memory of Lee may be made to the charity of your choice. Visitation took place in November. CWL prayers and parish prayers were held. A private funeral service will be held at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (519-252-5711) with interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Fr. Greg Bonin officiating. The service will be available to watch from home via Facebook Live Stream on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11:00 am.
