Ljubisa (Louie) Markovic

70 Years. Passed away peacefully at WRH Met Campus on Friday, December 9, 2011. Dear father of Ilija Markovic & His wife Tina, Vanesa Maric & her husband Branko- all of Windsor. Loving and adoring Deda of Stevan, Tiyana, Maja and Luka. Loving companion of Paula Salesio. Louie will be sadly missed by his nephew Dragan Markovic & his wife Vesna and their children, Vera & Stefan. Also survived by 2 sisters in Serbia, 1 sister in Vancouver and many other family members in Chatham and Serbia. Predeceased by his 4 brothers and 1 sister. Louie retired from the Ford Motor Co. in 2002 after 33 years of loyal service and was a proud member of C.A.W. Local #200. Special thanks to the staff of Regency Park for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519) 254-3223 on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., with Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Family & friends are asked to gather at Grachanica Serbian Orthodox Church, 1960 Meldrum Rd., on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The Very Rev. Fr. Miroljub Todorovic officiating. In keeping with Louie’s wish, he will be buried in his home country of Serbia at a later date.
