Mae Norwood

Gathered into God’s loving arms on Friday December 26, 2014 at W.R.H. Ouellette Campus at the age of 96. Beloved wife to Robert Norwood for 67 years. Loving mother to Barbara and her husband Peter Gieswein, and David and his wife Lynda (nee Regan). Cherished grandmother to Karen and her husband Tim Brady and Christine and her husband Charles Parker. Great-grandmother to Lauren and Samantha Brady and Max Parker. Dear sister of Florence Marshall (1992) and husband Albert (1971), Jean Boutette (1953) husband Ted (1997) and his second wife Beatrice Boutette (2013), Robert Donaldson (1995) and wife Kathleen (nee Mullen 1999) and James Donaldson and wife Barbara (nee Smith). Dear sister-in-law of Olive Johnston (2009) and husband ‘Mac” Macartney (1992), Herbert (1993) and wife Eunice (nee Fargher 2010), John Albert ‘Jake’ (2011) and wife Florence (nee Brocklebank 2005). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Mae was a devoted wife, mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She was a lifetime member of Emmanuel United Church and a recent resident of the Oak Park Retirement Community. Memorial visitation will be held at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre -1969 Wyandotte St. E. on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the Walter D. Kelly Chapel on Monday December 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Donations to Emmanuel United Church- 1728 Lincoln Road or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
