Mando Diamant

DIAMANT, Mando (nee Panageas) Diamantakou, Diamanto Passed away peacefully November 13, 2019. Born in Xirokambi, Sparta, Greece on February 20, 1933. She was 86 years young. Predeceased by her beloved husband Nick (2001). Loving mother of Christina (Andreas) Antzaras and Georgina (Chris) Hatzistamatis. Proud grandmother of Chris (Despina), Nicholas (Sofija) Antzaras, Aki Hatzistamatis and Amanda (Ryan) Krebs. Great grandmother to Andreas, Antoni, Christina, Luka, Alexia and Nikolas. The last surviving sibling, the 7th of 8 children. She will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, god-children, koumbari and friends. For over 50 years she has been a dedicated member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Windsor. We would like to thank Dr. Brown, his team and the entire nursing staff on the 5th Floor Clinical Teaching Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus for their exceptional care. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue, (519) 254-3223 on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are asked to gather at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 3052 Walker Road, on Monday, November 18, 2019 for the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Fr. Evangelos Aravantinos. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial donations made to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
