Sorry, I just heard of the passing of Martha, my sympathies for you Dennis and your children. She will greatly be missed.

Please accept my condolences, Jee Family.  I was shocked to read about Martha.  Although I haven't seen her in a few years, my memories of her are crystal.  I had the pleasure of team-teaching with Martha, as she was a student teacher back when I taught at Kennedy.  We had such a great time together.  She has such an infectious laughter, and such great wit.  We really connected, and she shared stories of her cherished family with me.  Oh, how she loves you all. I'm so sorry to hear of Martha's passing. My mom, sisters and I spent a lot of time with Martha and Marjorie when we were growing up.  While I hadn't had contact with Martha in quite some time, when I looked at the pictures here her personality as I remember it came through so clearly.  Most of all, I remember her intelligence and great sense of humor.  My deepest sympathies.

Words can not express my sympathy for you, Dennis, and Alix, Dylan, and Gabe.  Your wife/mom was just the best.  I met Martha over 10 years ago, and our friendship got off to a great start when we found out we were both English teachers; Martha had just graduated from Teacher's College. Lakeshore St. Andrews benefitted from that English skill as Martha wrote material for small group studies and online devotions for church-wide studies. We shared both our great and our sad moments, especially in those midnight talks at the Ladies' Retreat. Lately we both commiserated over having beloved daughters on the far side of the world as they followed their career paths. She was so smart, and so kind, and so devoted to her family. You will be in my prayers as you try to find life without her.

So sad to hear of the sudden passing of Martha. We have so many memories of our time spent at your home and on the island. Her legacy will live on in the children. God's blessing to all the family at this time.

Martha you sent me kind messages and warmth even though we never really met.  I will not forget this kindness.  I will try my hardest to pass this on.

Martha was my grade 10 history student at Kennedy Collegiate (1975-76)  I remember her as a happy adolescent. She was certainly an excellent history student and no doubt the great history staff at Kennedy must have been an inspiration for her love of the subject.  My favourite story about Martha was the time I was sitting in the staff room and Evelyn Durant (who taught family studies) came up to me and said, "Somebody's got a crush on you." She told me it was Martha, maybe that was because she sat at the very front of the class, in the middle row.  Of course, I never told Martha what had been revealed to me. It's very nice to know that she got over this school girl crush and went on to marry and have three children.  I will be at the funeral to learn more about her life after Kennedy.  My special condolences to her husband and children. My wife died at the same age. Please remember Alexandra, Dylan, and Gabriel that you will always be able to talk to your mother. If you have a question or a problem she will always give you the right solution.
