Mary was one of my most favourite people. She joined "B" Branch at the same time as my mother, Shirley Dearing. We looked forward to her calls each month to remind members of the upcoming meetings. When I joined the Junior Auxiliary both she and Ethel tried to teach me to knit but alas .. it was not to be. After I finished school and joined the group , they all insisted on being called by their first names. We had many happy memories of working in the kitchen, catering dinners and parish functions. Our annual Christmas pot lucks were spectacular feasts. Mary's ribbon salad was a favourite. May she rest in peace.

Gary and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Nancy and her family. I have so many special memories of "Aunt Mary" as she so lovingly encouraged us to call her even though we were not family. She always made us feel welcomed and loved whether at her home or chatting on the phone. What an amazing lady she was who lived life with courage, love for others and grace. Her warmth, sense of humour, kindness and beautiful smile will always be cherised.

106-how remarkable! Mrs Bishop taught me how to knit; I spent many evenings in her den watching her and learning. She made the BEST fruitcake and I fondly remember her giving me jelly beans when I was a kid.
We have a miniature rose bush in our yard that came from her house.
I’m glad to have it as I think of her every time I see it.

I still have a beautiful afghan on our bed that she knit John and I as a wedding gift. She was such a kind lady.
