

BULL, Maurice Henry Passed away peacefully on December 8, 2015 at the age of 83. Surrounded by his loving family - Jean Bull (nee Newell), children Peter (Beth), Greg (Cathy), Cathy (Dimitri) and Mary Anne (David) - and his dear partner Veronica Didoszak. Proud grandfather to Aidan, Owen, Ava, Andrew, Sheila, Jamie, Emily, Charlie and Malcolm. Predeceased by his sister Ruth and lovingly remembered by his family in England, brother-in-law Brian Smith, niece Elizabeth, and nephews Andrew and Matthew and their families. Fondly remembered also by sister-in-law Carol Gartshore, niece Karen and nephews Jim and David.
Born in London, England in 1932, Maurice attended Bishop’s Stortford College and then Trinity Hall at the University of Cambridge. He completed his medical training at St. Thomas’s Hospital in London. From 1959 to 1961 Maurice was a Lieutenant in the British Royal Army Medical Corps, serving in Aden and then Malaya. Coming to Canada in 1962, he established a medical practice in Windsor and was a family doctor and a coroner for many years.
Maurice was an excellent athlete and avid sportsman through most of his life. He was a founding member of the Windsor Rugby Club and a fierce opponent on the squash court and golf course. He loved music and will be remembered singing enthusiastically at parties with family and friends.
The family is grateful for the excellent care at Amica Windsor and most recently at Meadow Park in Chatham. If you so desire, donations in lieu of flowers would be appreciated to the Windsor Essex Prostate Cancer Support Group which Maurice was involved with for many years. Visitation Friday December 18 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturday December 19 from 10 to 11:30 am. Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Maurice’s life at 11:30 am. Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home, 1969 Wyandotte Street East. Private internment of ashes to take place at a later date.
