It is with deep sorrow that the family announce the passing of Nora Ann (Bauer) Waddell who died peacefully with her children, Brother Jerome Bauer -Society of Divine Vocations, Ann Marie (Mark), and Barry (“Skip”) at her side on May 9th, 2026 at Erie Shores Health Care. There is joy in knowing that she will be reunited with her loving Husband and Soulmate James J. Waddell and beloved parents George F. Bauer and Marcella (Bassman). Nora is predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy (Wilbur), Carl (Alice), twin sisters Veronica and Monica, First-Class Sergeant George F. Bauer Jr. (Florence), Elizabeth (Albert), and cherished twin brother Norman Anthony (Janet). Proud and loving aunt, great aunt, and great great aunt to many. Nora was a person of deep faith who together with her husband extoled Catholic values within the family. A proud Detroiter and graduated of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School where she was taught by the Immaculate Heart of Mary (I.H.M.) Sisters. Nora’s childhood dream was to be the first female pitcher for The Detroit Tigers. Nora loved sports (especially horse racing), music, food, friends, and family.

Funeral Mass shall be held for Nora on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at 11am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (85 Park St E.)
