Penelope "Penny" Thompson

Penny passed peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous fight with cancer. She is survived by her 3 children Priscilla Brough & her fiance Jay, Gerry Thompson & his wife Judy, Jennifer Turdean & her husband Ioan and 2 beautiful granddaughters Miriam and Leah. Penny will be remembered for her 35 years as a secretary for Puterman Moser and KMPG. She will also be remembered as a waitress for over 20 years at Crescent Lanes and as a faithful passenger on Transit Windsor buses. She will be sadly missed by many people at Rockhead Pub and Canada Salvage. Her family wishes to thank everyone at WRH Met Campus, Hospice of Windsor & Essex County, the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre and Bayshore Home Health Care, especially Catherine, her home nurse and Shannon & Theresa, her PSW's from Revera. Also heartfelt thanks to Raymond Rockwood, Stan and to Barb "from across the way". Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue, (519) 254-3223 on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Anderson Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Dave Pistagnesi. If desired, memorial donations made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
