WOROBETZ, Raymond

Passed away at the age of 83 years on Wednesday February 12, 2020 at Chatham-Kent Hospice. Born, raised and living in Comber all his life, he was beloved husband of Jean for 64 years.

Loving father of John (Kathy) of Leamington, ON and Maryann Ricketts (Peter) of Wolfville, NS. Predeceased by his youngest son Raymond.

Tender-hearted grandfather to Melanie, Jessica (Taylor), Sean and Danielle. Loving great grandfather to a beautiful baby girl, Hailey.

Dear brother to Mary Klym (late Metz) and predeceased by his sister, Anne Bodnar (late William). Raymond is also survived by his sister-in-law Pauline Jackson (late George) and other dear family members.

Beloved son of the late Alec and Helen Worobetz whose choice to move to Canada gave Raymond such a good life. Raymond learned the meaning of hard work from an early age and worked earnestly in farming, labour and business with great attitude and enjoyment in being busy even in his final days. His kindness and generosity always brought warmth, positivity and encouragement to those around him. Raymond had a calm steady presence that was a foundation of many people’s world and his passing will leave a huge void. All his family and friends were blessed to experience his big heart.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Chatham-Kent Hospice for their care and compassion.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place in Comber at a later date.

Dear Ray
How we the Kucan Family will miss you. For over 56 years our families have been together, united by your Mother and our Baba.
We all grew up together sharing holidays, vacations, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and sadly the passing of our beloved family members. And now our hearts are broken over yours. Wonderful memories we are grateful for, precious photos too. We treasure our last visit.
