Born on July 4, 1926, died on Dec 11, 2013. Devoted husband for 61 years to Betty (nee Richards) of Kent England. Loving and supportive father to Joan (John Liandzi), Anne (Don Van Loon) and Judith (Peter Croal). Grandfather to Devan, Jordan, Hilary, Alison and Brenna. Son of the late Alex and Florence Kennedy; brother of Douglas, Mary, Gordon (Barbara Jean), Harold (Margaret) and Donald. Lloyd also had many relatives in Scotland and England. Lloyd graduated in 1948 from the University of Toronto and was Chief Engineer at Northern Engineering Corp. of Detroit, designing cranes and hoists. An avid reader and life long learner, Lloyd embraced history, religion, theatre and travel among his many interests. He was a generous supporter of many community charities and an active member of Chalmers United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (519-252-5711) on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 5:00 pm with visitation beginning at 4:00 pm.
