Mr Robert Bob Charles Merryfield

Never one to complain Bob passed away after a short and brave battle at Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus. Survived by Beverly Merryfield (Nee Beneteau). Beloved father and best friend to Scott (Ruth) Merryfield and Lisa (Kevin) Jones. Grandfather to Bradley, Gregory, Alexander, Nicole Merryfield, Adam Wlusek, Katelyn (1993), Curtis and Kyle Jones. Dear brother to Ruth Waddington (2015) (William), Jack Merryfield (2012) (Eleanor). Brother-in-law to Wayne Beneteau (Catherine) as well as being survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob retired from Canadian Bridge as Personnel and Administration Manager. He went on as a consultant for Valiant Machine and Tool and National Auto Radiator in the capacity of Personnel Manager. For many years he was an Executive Member and coach for South Windsor Minor Baseball, taking a number of teams to the OBA Championships. His retirement included playing golf with Scott and Greg, attending baseball and hockey tournaments with his grandsons, as well as many vacations with Scott and his family. He enjoyed most sports and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Tigers Fan. A Private family funeral was held at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre. Charitable donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
