To the Coughlin family. Mr. Coughlin was my principal back at Bishop Cody many many years ago and he was by far my favourite principal ever. All the students absolutely adored him and he was truly a class act. When I was in grade 3, something happened that upset me, and he took care of me like my own parents would and even though I was only 9 years old, I remember his kindness, his sincerity, and how genuine he truly was. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. He will remain in my memories and I will always cherish them.

Marie, I have just learned of Tim's passing this morning from my son,Mike,and we are both devastated by the news. He was such a great educator and good friend to both of us. We were lucky to have had him in our lives. Be strong.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Tim's passing. He was my principal through most of my childhood at Bishop Cody and St Annes. Tim had a profound influence on my life, he was truly someone who went above and beyond for his students, even the problem ones that not many others would give the extra time to. Even after he retired we remained in contact for many years, he was an incredible man and he will be missed greatly.

Marie , What a shock it was to hear about Tim's passing . The last time we were together was in Kingston when you two were finishing up your sailing adventure . We fondly remember that interlude as well as the previous times over the years . None of us know from day to day when our time will come ....however , we're sure that Tim is in a good place right now ....
