It is with heavy hearts we mourn the passing of our mother on January 9 2020 at the age of 93.

Predeceased by her adoring husband, Jim (1981), her daughter, Patricia (2016) and her son, Jim (2007). She is survived by daughters Vandaline (Gary), Caroline (Ron) and Jenny (Andy) . She was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Mom was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1956. She leaves behind her sisters, Margaret, Rosie and her brother Jim and is predeceased by siblings Jackie, Nettie and Muriel.

Her greatest pleasure was her family. She was a talented knitter, seamstress and crafter and will fondly be remember for her pierogis and cabbage rolls.

Mom was under the care of the wonderful staff at Aspen Lake and we thank them beyond measure for their kindness and compassion. They will fondly remember her for her greeting of “Hello, Love” to everyone she encountered.

A private family service and internment will take place on January 16, 2020.

Until we meet again……..Goodbye Love

I remember your Mom as a petite, sweet lady with an infectious giggle and a twinkle in her eye. I recall the singing and laughter at family gatherings no matter the reason. She and my Mom, Lois Oldham, especially loved breaking into many a sweet Gaelic rendition. May the wind be always at your back Vanda as you head to Aberdeen. Sending love to all the Wood family.
