Passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 95 years of age. Beloved wife of Clare Handy (2008) for nearly 60 years. Dearest mother to Allen Handy and Charlene Newton (Frank). Devoted grandmother of Tyler and Joshua Newton. Virginia was a committed member of Peace Lutheran Church and was involved in many church activities throughout her life. She was blessed with a talent for arts and crafts. She had a very giving spirit, was loved and will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she touched. Family will receive friends at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E., 519-252-5711) on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A celebration of her life will take place at Peace Lutheran Church on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Virginia may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church. Many thanks to Life Times on the River where mom spent many happy hours during her final years.
