Walter Russell "Russ" Bremner

Passed away peacefully on May 22, 2021 after a strong battle with some health issues. Fortunately, he had the opportunity to spend time with each of his 4 children before he passed away peacefully with his eldest daughter by his side. Beloved husband of the late Joyce (nee Doughty) (November 28, 2020) for 64 years. Loving father of Susan, Rick (Veni), Sheryl (Kevin Loughborough) and Jeff (Lesley). Cherished Grandad of Felicia (Jonathan Calleri), Daniela, and Michael. He is also survived by his extended family - Greg Smith, Meredith Smith, Kevin Smith, Bob and Pat Ecker and family, as well as sister-in-law Gayle Marsh and family. Russ will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. He wanted to be remembered as a nice guy and he was well liked by all. He had a good wit about him and a sharp mind that never forgot anything. Russ retired from Chrysler Canada and was a member of Unifor Local 444. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Centre – 895 Ouellette Avenue (519-254-3223) on Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. **Due to the current restrictions put in place by the Ministry of Health, there is a maximum number of guests allowed in the funeral home at one time. Please call the funeral home between 9am and 4pm to reserve a spot for the visitation period. No admittance will be permitted without a reservation**.
