It is with blessed and broken hearts we announce the passing of our dearest Mom, Ada Cass on July 29, 2020 in the peaceful comfort of her home surrounded by all our love. She flew to Jesus and all those she missed dearly.
Ada was born January 1, 1942 in Winnipeg, and raised in a 2 room house along with her 7 siblings. Her love for Jesus was paramount.
In 1965, she married John and all her dreams came true with the birth of her 3 miracle babies. Her love for them was undeniable and unconditional. In the 80s she graduated in cap and gown, beginning her career working with the handicapped and elderly. Taking care of others was her passion. Ada LOVED baseball and was a loyal Dodger and Blue Jay fan, often cheering them on from an ICU bed.
Moving to Fred Douglas Place was a blessing. She enjoyed Canasta nights with friends and picked up two brothers along the way. She spoke to everyone she came in contact with, always with an infectious smile and kindness.
Her blessings continued with an adopted son Darcy and many grand and great-grandchildren. She had all the love she could receive and gave back 1000% more. She was content. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed.
Her forever engraved love remains with her son Darrell Cass and his wife Gerrie of Edmonton, AB and her daughter Crystal Davis of Madison, TN. It also lives in the hearts of her grandchildren DJ, Caroline, Dallas, Melissa, Jonnie, Jenna, Lindsey, and Danielle. Her great-grandchildren Gracie, Tyler, Aiden, Bella, Kylie, Emery, and Nevaeh will continue to grow in her grace and beauty. Her sisters Gloria and Amy, brothers Dan and Herman, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends will remember her beautiful smile and feel her presence as the soft breezes caress them.
She gloriously reunites with her beloved son Johnny. Her dad, mom, sisters, brothers, husband John and hundreds of special friends will welcome her home.
We pray our eternal gratitude will be felt by Darcy Gatey who loved her as much as we did until the end.
A celebration of her journey home will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday August 21 at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, her final resting place. Due to provincial public health orders limiting attendance, please RSVP to (615) 495-5890.
