Adalia will be lovingly remembered by her parents Brett and Kate.
Grandparents: Sherry Moar-Breland, James and Amanda Little
Great Grandparents: Valery Moar, George and Vivian Schellenberg, Geoffrey Little, Vic Driedger,
numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins
Predeceased by Grandpa Darell Breland, two Great Grandmas, Elsie McAuley, and Cynthia Dreidger
We knew during pregnancy that Adalia had a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and needed to be born full term in order for her to have surgery right after birth. She was born March 19th 11 weeks premature.
She was so tiny 1188 gr (2.6 lbs) 39.5 cm (15.5”). We gave her the nickname “Peanut”.
Even though we were praying and wanting a miracle, God’s plans for her were different from ours. On March 30th Jesus took her home. We were blessed to have had her in our lives for 11 days.
Adalia’s name means “God is my refuge”. Her name was chosen long before she was born. Amazingly, on the day Adalia was born, the “verse of the day” on my Grandma’s app was Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”. We know God is good! And believe He is in the smallest of details, and He will also carry us through this.
