He was born in Clover Leaf, Manitoba and had three lovely wives Shirley, Barbara and Anne; he is survived by his brother Walter. He had three children Ronald, Brenda and Patrick; grandchildren Shannon [deceased] Robyn, Ashleigh, and James and great grandchildren. He had a wonderful life.
He served in the second World War in the RCAF. Later he served an apprenticeship as a printer at the Saturday Post in St. Louis, MO. While there, he was promoted to General Manager. Upon his return to Manitoba, he owned and operated Grant Television Sales and Service, for 35 years.
After retirement he engineered and built a hybrid electric truck. Alvin and Anne engaged in ballroom dancing, and travelled extensively in Canada and USA by RV, also to Mexico and Brazil. In 2003 he arranged the Scoular Reunion.
Due to Covid restrictions there will be a intimate family service held at Thompson in the Park on January 13th. The Service may be viewed live starting at 2:00, or anytime within 24 hours of the service.
