Miss Amutha Subramaniam, affectionately called Ammu, was tragically taken from us on Sunday, October 31, 2010, in Winnipeg.
Born in Winnipeg, her formative years were spent at Highbury School. She graduated from Dakota Collegiate in 2010 and entered her first year of University at the University of Manitoba. She was an accomplished Bharathanatyam dancer who graduated from the India School of Dance, Music, and Theatre, where she was a teacher sharing her skills with younger students.
Ammu’s gentle nature endeared her to her friends and students. She was an active community volunteer and performed in numerous cultural programs. She lived a life filled with dreams and was looking forward to celebrating her 18th birthday in December.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday November 7, 2010 at 11:30 am at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3T 5Y4.
Cherished memories of Ammu will always be with us.
