Mrs. Barbara Ann Davies

Barb is survived by her son Kerry (Darcy) Davies of Winnipeg, daughter Cindy Biebrich of Winnipeg, and son Rick (Lynn) Davies of Calgary. She will also be missed by grandchildren Cory, Darryl, Michelle, Jessica, Jordan, Mark, Charlene, Ryan, Sarah, and Matthew along with her 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Louise and brother Bill (Doreen), both of Boissevain, Manitoba as well numerous extended family and dear friends.

Barb was predeceased by her husband Gerald, mother Annie, father Imrie, sister Isobel, and close companion Jim Flecknor.

Barb spent the majority of her adult working life in the public school system in Winnipeg where she developed lifelong friendships with her colleagues, all of which she valued dearly. As her career with the Winnipeg School Division was well established, Barb realized her dream of owning her own business which resulted in the launching of BJ's Ice Cream in Winnipeg. Barb and Jim Flecknor built the ice cream business from the ground up working tirelessly. It was clearly a labour of love with literally thousands of beautiful ice cream cakes hand crafted with pride.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on July 27, 2024, at Garden Park Baptist Church, 1825 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that those who wish, may donate to a charity of their choice in memory of mom.
