Always In Our Hearts

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly Denise Williamson, on Friday, February 7, 2020 at St. Anne Hospital with her sons by her side.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons Shawn Williamson (Rachelle) and Barry Williamson (Deanna); grandchildren Taylor, Sarah, Kash and Evan; brothers Cyril (Arlie), Dan (Colleen); sister Jeanette (Lloyd); brother-in-law Bob Williamson (Jean); sister-in-laws Sharon Watts (Jack), Joan Knisley (Merlin) and Vivian Williamson.

She is predeceased by her first husband Mervyn Williamson, her second husband Kenneth Snider; parents Harry & Ivey Warrener; sister Marilyn (Darcy) and brother Earl (Joan).

Bev was born in Baldur, Manitoba where she was raised on a farm. She was the youngest of six children where she spent many hours enjoying her family and all of the shenanigans that they would get into together.

She met the love of her life, Merv and decided to reside in Brandon, Manitoba to start their life and raise a family. She started working at MTS and Woolco, which then led to a 30-year career as a Loans Officer at the Royal Bank of Canada.

Bev and Merv enjoyed happy times camping during the summers, travelling around Manitoba, and making a lot of friends. They enjoyed the outdoors so much that they bought a cabin at Oak Lake Beach, and there they shared many laughs and great memories with their fellow crew, “The Lakers”.

In 2001, she lost her beloved Merv to a fight with cancer. After some time, she met her second husband and friend Ken and they decided to move from Brandon to Winnipeg to be closer to her kids.

After she lost Ken due to illness in 2017, Bev then moved to Paradise Village, in St. Anne, Manitoba, where she spent the remainder of her years enjoying gardening, square dancing, and her new puppy, Zoey.

She had a real zest for life with her easy-going attitude and personality, along with a great sense of humour. Where she beamed though, was the times she got to be with her sons and special family gatherings. What she cherished the most was spending time with her grandchildren, where she always made time to go to their numerous hockey games to cheer them on or anything that they wanted to do.

A funeral service will be held at Central United Church, 327-8th Street, Brandon, Manitoba at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brandon Humane Society.

Hi Barry and Deanna and Shawn. We're thinking of you today as you say good bye to your mom. It's been awhile since we've seen her but have nothing but good memories of our times together. We're guessing that she'll be having a long visit with your dad, and that's a heart warming thought, it's been a long time apart.

Take care and cherish the memories, Don and Leona

Shawn and Barry and your families, It is with heavy heart that I write this short note. I knew Bev's family away back in 1963 when I worked in Baldur. and got to know the Williamsons later on. So memories go back a long way. I encourage you to remember your mother for her ready smile and her hearty laugh and compassion for for other human beings.

My sincere sympathy at the passing of your mother. As a volunteer at the hospital Thyme and I enjoyed sitting and talking to her. Although I didn't know her well it was very easy to see and appreciate what a lovely person she was.

Shawn and Barry and Families...
I was so saddened to learn of your Mom’s passing. The video tribute is just awesome. Some of those pictures brought back many memories of when Gord and I chummed with your Mom and Dad . All the times we spent camping with you boys and your folks were such fun. There was also the time we babysit while your parents went somewhere on a holiday and you gave me chickenpox! All are great memories!! Your Mom was always full of laughter and fun. A few years ago we reconnected on Facebook/Messenger and that sure was always a good chat and lots of reminiscing. I’m so sorry I can’t be at the service as I’m in Florida, but I send my sincere condolences to all the family. May your Garden of Memories be full as you remember your Mom.
