BRIGID KATHLEEN MALONE
On April 14, 2020 with her loving family by her side in her home of 60 years, Brigid Kathleen Malone passed away peacefully in her 89th year from natural causes. Brigid was born on September 3, 1931 in Dublin, Ontario. She was the loving wife of Joseph Francis Malone who predeceased her in 1981. Together Brigid and Joe celebrated 27 years of marriage and raised seven children. Brigid will be lovingly remembered by her children Bob, Barbara (Lloyd), Kathy (Howie), Colleen (Brent), John (Rosa), Rosemary (Don) and Thomas (Bev) and her grandchildren Shauna, Sean, Megan, Carolyn, Christina, Devon, Teagan, Kiera, Quinn, Rhea, Garrick and Christiane.
In addition to her loving husband Joe, Brigid was predeceased by her parents, Theresa and Daniel Costello of Dublin Ontario, her brothers Bill, Joe, Bernard, Daniel, Gordon, and Father Jack, her sisters Mary, Jean, Margaret, Dorothy, and her grandchild Lauren. Brigid will be missed by her sister Patricia (Doug), her many great grandchildren, extended family and numerous friends throughout the country.
Brigid was an avid curler, bridge player, baseball player (in her youth) and gardener, but her passion was family. She was actively involved in the community, volunteering at Sir John Franklin CC, St. John Brebeuf Church and numerous other community organizations that impacted many lives. Brigid was kind, gentle, devoted to family and friends and was never afraid to speak her mind and express her thoughts.
A burial will be held at Chapel Lawn respecting the restrictions of Covid-19. A memorial service will be held once the restrictions are lifted.
Brigid lived a beautiful life and passed in an equally beautiful manner. Brigid, you will be missed and forever loved by all the family and friends you touched.
As Brigid would say to close each night to whomever was present “God love ya”!

I am Father John Pirt, a priest in the Diocese of London. Thirty-two years ago I was stationed with Father Jack at Christ the King Parish in Windsor. I am currently the pastor at St Mary's Parish in Tillsonburg. Pat and Mae Feeney are parishioners here. I offered Mass this morning for your mother's intentions.

Jamie and I and our girls offer our most heartfelt condolences. Aunt Brigid always welcomed us into her home whenever we visited Winnipeg . Your family is truly blessed to have an angel among you. Love, peace and prayers are being sent your way.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. My memories of Aunt Birdie all revolve around her as a fun loving person who was always up for a good joke/time. I fondly remember coming to Winnipeg with dad(Jimmy), mom (Betty) and the rest of my family for Barb’s wedding. We had a fabulous time and definitely brought some mischief with us-😳 (toilet papering the yard).
This is one of my fondest memories - the joy and laughs shared with family and especially your mom and dad and all of you guys.
God Bless Michelle

Words cannot truly be written for the sense of loss I feel knowing Brigid has passed on. But so peacefully and with her loved ones🙏 God heard her prayers. My family has known the Malones for over 45 yrs, I went to school with Kathy. In 1984 my father Walter asked Brigid out on a date, she accepted. And until he passed end of 2002, together their friendship was a source of laughter, support and love. I spent many great moments with Brigid and her family, she accepted us with such love and care. After all that is how Brig was. Though I live in Australia Brig and I kept in close contact with each other and how we used to laugh and share stories. I loved her spirit, her independence, her zest for life and her devotion to her family and friends. Yes Brigid was one in a million❤️ I will truly truly miss our talks, miss You dearest Brigid. Thank you for everything, thank you. Love you always “God love ya” for I know He Does and so do we. Sincerely from my heart 💔 Kathryn Mellen Gold Coast Australia
