

It is with heavy hearts, we announce that Carol Ann Sandilands passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2024.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her sons Jason (Trish), Glen (Kerri), grandchildren, James, and Savannah (their mother Rebecca), grandsons Rory and Connor, her sisters-in-law Judy Dale, Susan Clark, and many nieces and nephews. Carol will also be dearly missed by her Ness Avenue Baptist Church family.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Max; her parents Lillian and James, brother Bruce and sister Shirley.
Carol was born in Halifax NS, and was raised in Windsor, Ont. She later moved to Winnipeg where she lived for a few years before traveling abroad. After marrying Max in 1972, the two relocated to Canada in 1976.
Carol’s professional career was rooted in Administrative Management, spending the majority of her career working within the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba and the Department of Surgery at the Health Sciences Centre.
Carol's most cherished moments were spent with her family and friends. She had a heart of gold, a passion for nurturing her loved ones, and was known for her kind-hearted nature and infectious smile. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Ness Avenue Baptist Church followed by a private family interment.
