OBITUARY

Charan Kaur Dhillon

Loved and cherished grandmother, great grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and loving mother Charan Kaur Dhillon (nee Randhawa) passed peacefully into Waheguru’s grace on Monday, June 29, 2020.

Born in 1925 , Lailpur, Punjab, Pakistan, to parents Massa Singh & Harnaam Kaur. She grew up in a family of four brothers and two sisters.

Charan Kaur was in her early twenties when she experienced the largest migration of people and with her family walked into the newly independent India. She raised 5 children, Surinder Kaur, Baldev Singh, Iqbal Kaur, Harjeet Kaur, and Jaswant Singh. She immigrated to Canada in December 1982 and lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba for many years. She enjoyed meeting her family in India and spending time with her children, and grandkids.

Charan Kaur was always very caring, loving, and her warm hugs will be missed. Her grandchildren share many fond memories, including special celebrations of birthdays, graduations, and Friday evenings spent with her.

She will be dearly missed.

She is predeceased by her husband, Uttam Singh Dhillon; her sisters Harnaam Kaur, Surjit Kaur, her brothers Dilip Singh, Charan Singh, Sohan Singh & Amar Singh and her son Baldev Singh.

She is survived by her children: Surinder Kaur, Iqbal Kaur, Harjeet Kaur & Jaswant Singh, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held ‪on Saturday, July 4, at 10:00 am at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, ‪1291 McGillivray Boulevard and will be live streamed on the Thomson In the Park Funeral Home Facebook page.‬‬‬‬‬‬
