Charlie developed a variety of skills working numerous different trades. He started his career with his father pouring concrete and went on to do various other things such as driving truck, doing renovations and hauling snow. He put his all into everything he did and made a lot of friends along the way. If you knew Charlie, you knew that he would do anything for anybody. He was always there to lend a helping hand, whether it be doing the hard work, or acting as a “supervisor” later on in life.
Charlie cared deeply for others and made sure that his children wanted for nothing. Whether it be “snake” for lunch, or enrolling the kids in sports, he made sure they had everything they could want. He also loved his grandchildren way before they were even here. It was clear his vision in life was to grow his family and have little ones running around to spoil. His love for his grandchildren grew the moment he was able to lay eyes on them. The boys loved coming for visits, especially since they knew Grandpa was always ready with tons of treats and candy. He always thinking about the next new toy that he could spoil the boys with, from the above ground pool to the hot wheels car that they could drive around the yard.
Charlie’s hobbies included working in the garden and being outside. He tried his best to replicate the garlic that his Dad used to grow and he encouraged his children to do the same. He also loved to tinker around the yard and work on projects to pass the time. He was so proud to pass on his hard work to his children to display.
Charlie was a very social person and loved to be around people. He was always available to chat and share a story, even if you had heard it a million times before. The tears shone in his eyes with almost every story he told, showing the sensitive side to his burly physique. He knew someone everywhere he went, which shows just how many lives he impacted. He will be greatly missed by many.
