It is with profound sadness, that the family of Colin Travis Boulet, shares news of his sudden and tragic passing on the evening of Saturday, August 6th, 2022 at the age of 27. Colin’s bright light shines with the stars in the sky, and we take comfort in knowing he is at peace, forever flying with all the other angels. Colin leaves behind his parents; Karyn & Darren, his father; Gary Boulet, his sister Kristyn; brother Matthew and step sister; Katryn. He will be forever missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, his grandfather Bryan as well as many friends and family.
Colin shared a special relationship with his cousin Madison and Aunty Kathryn. He is pre-deceased by his grandmother Marlene, great grandmother Anne and recently Colin’s beloved dog; Daggy, who all were waiting to welcome Colin home.
Colin entered this world rapid fire, right on time, on his March 8th due date at 3:08am. He was anxious to experience the world and embrace his beautiful life. As a baby, toddler, teenager and young man, Colin exuded joy and always had a kind spirit, gentle soul, and a wonderful sense of humour. He was born and raised in Winnipeg, prior to moving to Ottawa at 19 years old, after graduating high school. Colin was always active in sports, playing many years of hockey, soccer and basketball. He tried everything at least once, and enjoyed playing with his school friends in volleyball, and badminton school leagues. Colin had a passion for magic and was a member of the Young Magician’s Society. As a teenager, he would often perform magic tricks for family and friends. Colin had a creative spirit and was a gifted speaker. He enjoyed putting together mini movies & participated in Winnipeg Film Group camps over a couple summers as a young teen.
Colin valiantly dealt with an illness which he was able to rise above and become a true success story. He was planning to attend Algonquin College in Ottawa to engage in a career of Social Services, so he could use his life experiences to help mentor and inspire other young adults to live their best life. Colin was such a trusting soul and he loved life and all of his family and friends. The world will never quite be the same again without Colin being a part of it. From the moment he was born, Colin had a special light which will always be carried in the hearts of all who loved him.
Way Too Soon, by your loving Mom
Smiles, laughter, joy, love,
These are all the things you have always been made of.
Funny and smart, with the biggest of hearts,
Memories of Colin never to part.
Your light, light, light will always shine bright, bright, bright.
But losing you is just not right, right, right.
Way too soon…
