Obituary of Daniel Robert
IN THE CARE OF

Thomson In The Park Funeral Home and Cemetery

Lovingly Remembered

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Daniel Robert.

Daniel grew up in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba. He met his soulmate and wife of 36 years, Lisa, after moving to Winnipeg. Together, they built a loving marriage, family and home. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Following a career in the public service, he was enjoying his retirement, filled with numerous projects and activities. As he would say “I am not retired!”. He recently celebrated his 60th birthday with his extended family and friends.

Daniel was never one to shy away from a project. He spent countless hours helping his children and friends, renovating the family home, and tackling his largest project – the family cabin. He created beautiful places for his family to enjoy. If there was a problem, he was the person to solve it. He carried a wealth of knowledge, along with a willingness to help those around him.

Daniel had many great adventures. His favourite place was the family cabin at Black Sturgeon Lake. He enjoyed dock talk, tubing, snowmobiling, fishing, bonfires, ATVing and lake night cruises. He was an avid traveller, taking family trips through Italy, Western Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean, as well as road trips across Canada and the USA.

Daniel was an amazing chef and baker. He brought people together through his food, kind spirit and unmatched sense of humor. No one left Daniel’s kitchen table hungry, and without leftovers for days. He was a big personality and the life of the party, lighting up the room and ensuring it was always full of laughter.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lisa, children Zach (Torrey) and Alana (Carter), grandchildren Madeleine and Charlie, father Raymond, siblings Diane (Rick) and Dennis (Christa) and so many others. He will be reunited with his brother and lifelong friend Dwayne, and mother Margaret.

Daniel was an extraordinary man with a true heart of gold. He will forever be remembered.

A special thanks to those who have supported us during this difficult time, including Pina, Fernando, Vince, Barb, Jennine and many others.

All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life at St. Charles Country Club, 100 Country Club Boulevard, on Sunday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m.
