

David grew up in Fredericton, where he graduated from the Fredericton High school in 1973. After his graduation he went on to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. David served from 1974 until 1996. He then went on to work for the Red River Collage as an instructor for the Stevenson Aviation Department. He worked there from 1997 until 2013, when he retired, then he returned on a temporary basis.
David met his future wife Evelyn at the 1976 Summer Olympic games in Montreal. David and Evelyn got married in 1978 and went on to have two children, Christopher and Melanie.
During David's free time you could find him relaxing in the backyard by the pool, golfing, reading a book, or travelling to a warm destination during the winter months.
David was predeceased by his parents Earsel and Gwen Austin, and his brother Clarence Austin. He is survived by his Wife Evelyn, two children Christopher & Melanie, and grandson Maddox.
David always tried to be there for his family. He was a loving Father and Husband, he will be greatly missed.
At David's request there will be no formal service. His Ashes will be scattered by the river in his hometown.
