

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Divender Singh Baidwan at St. Boniface Hospital on April 25, 2012.
He was born in Panipat on October 2nd 1943 and was the second of 8 siblings. Divender was an excellent student, studying hard and making his parents proud. He grew up with a love for reading good books. He read voraciously, often translating the books to his family. Later golf became his favourite hobby. He also enjoyed long walks at the Assiniboine Park. He enjoyed a disciplined life, worked hard and achieved great success. He was a loving husband and a great father. He also extended his love to both sides of the families. Divender’s jovial nature touched the hearts of all his friends and dear ones. We will miss him terribly and hold him dear in our hearts forever. We all love you.
He was the loving son of Sardar Niranjan Singh Baidwan and Gurbans Kaur Baidwan.
Left to mourn are his loving wife Dr. Saminder Kaur, daughter Dr. Mona Mandeep Kaur and son Ammondeep Singh, Brothers: Jatinder Singh (Jaswant Kaur), Avtar Singh (Hardev Kaur), Sarbjeet Singh (Jagdish Kaur) and Sisters: Baljeet Kaur (Inderjeet Singh), Nirmaljeet Kaur (Jagdev Singh), Harjeet Kaur (Mandeep Singh), Harsharan Kaur (Satnam Singh). All of Sarao family shares this moment of grief.
Funeral services will be held on Monday April 30th at 2 pm, with viewing starting at 1 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Following the ceremony, Sikh prayer services will be held at Sikh Society of Manitoba 1244 Mollard Rd, Winnipeg, MB.
