Domingo Rafael Sr.

Peacefully with family by his side at his residence, we announce the passing of Domingo Rafael Sr. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the age of 83. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

His memory will be cherished by his wife Maria; children, Rebecca Contreras (Roberto), Ruby Rafael (Juno), Bong Rafael (Kim), Juanita Cofnas (Slawek), Domer Rafael (Charity) and Mary Ann Rafael (Christian); son in-law Joseph Lumarque (Karen); grandchildren, Ryan, Regina, Catlin, Kirstie, Dominique, Danielle, Desiree, Ethan, Joelle, Jonna, Jodie, BJ and Michael; great-grandchildren Logan, Lily and Damian; various relatives in Toronto, USA, Japan, and the Philippines. He was predeceased by his wife Juaning Rafael and daughter Racquel Lumarque.

Private Lamay (Viewing) will take place at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Samson presiding. Interment will follow at Thomson “In the Park” Cemetery.

Domingo, “Tatay,” will always be remembered for his outgoing personality. He was known for striking up conversations with anyone and everyone he met, loved going for walks in the West End, was always the life of the party with a drink in hand-ready to dance the night away. Most importantly was the life he built with his family.
