Doreen Hazel Bailey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen Hazel Bailey. Doreen passed peacefully at the St Norbert Personal Care Home with her family at her side. Doreen was born to the late Margaret and Cyril McLeod and raised in Winnipeg. She met her husband Edwin while working with the RCMP. Mom and Dad spent their summers at Lake of the Woods where many wonderful memories were made. They could be found boating, beachcombing, swimming, always keeping active doing something. Doreen was predeceased by her husband Ed, her infant son Clifford, her sisters Winsome Gobert and Jean Wittig. Doreen is survived by her children Lynn Underwood (Bruce), Barb Friesen (David) and Ward Bailey (Gail); grandchildren Todd Underwood (Jocelyn), Meaghan Underwood (Mike), Matthew Friesen, Sean Friesen, Kristin Bailey, Kyle Bailey; great grandchildren Ashley, Eric and Eden Underwood; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016, 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. at Kilcona Alliance Church, 1977 Norris Road, Winnipeg. Thank you to the staff at the St Norbert Personal Care Home. Our hearts were touched to see the warmth and compassion expressed by the staff that cared for her. Mom was loving, and compassionate with an underlying strength, and will be missed so much. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choosing.
