Peacefully, following a brief illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edger Vermeer. Date of Death August 13, 2015 aged 89 years at Concordia Hospital, Winnipeg.
Will be sadly missed by children Christine (Garry) Carol (Wayne) John (Carol Ann) Mary (Danny) Predeceased by wife Anne in 1998.
Married Anne Dieteren in the Netherlands. They immigrated to Winnipeg in 1953. Dad worked in construction with Lount and PM & L Reinforcing until retiring in 1988. Dad was a humble man who enjoyed sports on TV and time with family. Mom and dad travelled extensively after retirement.
The service was held on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Klassen Funeral Home. 1897 Henderson Hwy.
Cremation has taken place. Many thanks to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their good care of our dad.
Donations may be made in dad’s name to Cancer Care Manitoba.
