DECEMBER 26, 1928 – SPETEMBER 5, 2012
It is with deep sadness that the family of Evelyn Scott announces her passing on September 5, 2012.
Evelyn was predeceased be her husband Thomas, parents Christina and Edmund Walker, brother George, brother-in-law Ted Dobbs and best friend Margaret Peterson.
Left to mourn, her sister Audrey Dobbs, brother Hugh (Sheena), sister-in-law Teri Walker and many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn grew up and attended school in the Fort Rouge area of Winnipeg. Her earlier career brought her to Eaton’s where she met her future husband. She then went onto Laura Secord School where she happily worked until her retirement.
Evelyn had many interests including sewing, music, theatre and spending time with family and friends. Her birthday get togethers will be fondly remembered.
A memorial reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday September 10th, at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
Special thanks to the staff at St. Joesph’s Residence for their loving care of Evelyn for the past three years.
